There were also moral dilemmas, forcing the player to make difficult decisions about far-reaching consequences. The authors have also prepared a complete and dynamic meteorological system. This includes not only changing temperatures and snowstorms, but also the fact that people, animals and monsters leave tracks in the snow, which often allows us to predict what lies ahead at a given location.

    Fade to Silence Download has promised to be an interesting survival. A feeling of danger, the need to collect raw materials, to decide who to invite survivors to their camp, to take care of their inhabitants, to develop the base - everything is in place. You have the choice between two modes: the first, with a number of "alive" limited to six, and the second, with the possibility of a resurrection after death to infinity, but making it impossible to obtain results. In the game, we move to the modern world in which a terrible winter reigned. We are leading a man named Ash, trying to cope with the situation. Drilling frost, blizzards and snow, from which only plants stand out here and there are not his only problems The hero is tormented by a bad being who makes fun of his failures and his inability to cope with difficulties . When Ash is cold and wants to light a bonfire, the creature laughs at him, it would be a waste of effort - it would be easier to freeze, because such a death is painless. When the protagonist wants to hunt a reindeer, he is ridiculed for not being able to catch this animal with his bare hands. When he dies, the evil creature mocks him and defeats him. A sinister voice that tries to discourage Ash from efforts motivates him not to give up, but he repeats the same thing over and over again. At one point, I began to completely ignore the comments of a being who likes to emphasize how powerful and mean he is, but does not try to stop us except by words
    Already in the first moments of the game, I had the impression that Fade to Silence Free would probably not belong to my favorite games. From the clues, I learned that I had to collect raw materials, search for survivors and defend the camp. But I started to wonder what I should really be aiming for? Can I possibly stop the evil and bring the world back to normal by cleaning up the map of contaminated places? Do you want to know the plot, save other people and provide them with shelter? Do you have a reasonably stable source of raw materials before continuing? Of course, I did not need to know to play, but I like to know why I'm making an effort. Soon it turned out that the number of animals to be hunted or trees to be felled is very small and that the resources are not renewed. Therefore, once the discovered raw materials are discovered, it is better to let the NPCs collect and constantly search for new places to get something. The initial confusion soon stopped bothering me. There are markers on the map where you should go, so all you have to do is go and see what I find. With the ability to showcase all objects - even those far from our hero or hidden behind rocks - it was easy to see the loot. Unfortunately, most of the time, I had to ignore the winnings because I could not carry much with me. If after a few minutes of fun, the game claims that I do not have enough space in the inventory to collect items, it means that something is wrong. If, after cutting a tree, the contaminated wood (which can be rebuilt later) occupies half of the available spaces only because the locations are counted on the fingers of both hands and only six pieces of wood are in one location ( up to several tens), I consider the symptom of the bad will of the creators - to go through the same places to get back to things, is not very exciting, and yet it would not hurt anyone, if you could continue to hear more. So, you must carefully choose what to pick up or go to for trouble. I was also embarrassed by the fact that to create an object, I had to have available space in the inventory, even if it slowed down after using DIY materials.

    It was also strange to force the player to stay on the creative screen and the "do it all" option. At least, sorting has always been done automatically. The combat system is another element that left the best impression. During combat, you can attack less or harder, make a hit and avoid any injuries or block hits. Good solution, but the implementation could be better. Each action consumes durability - just a blow and a dodge, and Ash is already out of breath and can not do anything. I also had the impression that the character reacted like in slow motion. This would have been possible without the fact that the ideal moment to dodge lasts a fraction of a second. The number of types of opponents do not hit you at the knees, but they are diverse. One of the spiders called Spit, as its name suggests, spits and then leaves bubbles that explode after a while. After a while, you can also bring the wolves into the game and train them to pull the sled. The sled is a good way to travel (there is also a safe for objects), but you have to be very careful about the route to follow. Wolves do not eat, for example, the contaminated area and may get stuck in a tree. They can easily fall on terrain obstacles, sometimes even on a piece of flat surface. The sled can then be put in the right position, but not anywhere, even if the surface is beautiful. Fade to Silence Free of the general seems pretty interesting: a world that froze as a result of the action of the evil creature is a great place where you have to fight to survive. Although graphically, the game seems rather average, here and there, you can be interested in the landscape. The assumptions are good, but it's pretty awkward and sled control could be better. Personally, I do not like the limited places in the inventory, but let me just work on the upgrades.
